Sudhakar Rao - Director and Chairman
Sudhakar Rao is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer from the 1973 batch. During his tenure he held several key positions with the Karnataka State Government. He also served Union Government as Under Secretary, and later Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power; Deputy Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance; Director, Prime Minister’s Office; and as Minister (Economic) in the Embassy of India in Washington DC, USA. He was a recipient of the Kannada Rajyotsava Award for Public Service awarded by the Government of Karnataka in 2010. He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.

Dr. N Suresh - Director
Dr. N Suresh is an accomplished practicing chartered accountant and is an authority in Taxation, Non-government and Non-profit organisations (NGOs/NPOs), the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), and many more. He has authored several books and articles on varied topics relating to corporate laws, accounting, and taxation. He regularly contributes articles to leading Tax magazines, presents papers, addresses seminars and conferences conducted by several professional bodies, study circles, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and actively participates in public forums. He is a visiting faculty at the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT), Nagpur and the Direct Taxes Regional Training Institutes (DTRTI) in Bangalore and Chennai. He is a graduate in Commerce from Bangalore University and holds a Doctorate in Taxation., apart from being a Fellow at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Dr. Nirmala Murthy - Director
Dr. Nirmala Murthy has been PAF’s Director since its inception in 2003. She has over 3 decades of rich experience in health management information and evaluation systems, nutrition, reproductive health, maternal and child health, and population projects. Her professional experience includes being a consultant to various large scale projects of State and Central Governments in India, the World Bank, DFID, UNICEF, Ford Foundation, and others, in India, Asia, and Africa. She is the Founder and President of the Foundation for Research in Health Systems (FRHS). She has a number of papers and publications related to health policies, programmes and research to her credit. She holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from the Bombay University, and a doctorate from the Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, USA.

Dr. Thelma Narayan - Director
Dr. Thelma Narayan is an epidemiologist, health policy analyst and activist who coordinates CPHE and is director of SOCHARA School of Public Health Equity and Action (SOPHEA). She is actively involved in many initiatives to include being an advisor the National Rural Health Mission and the National Health Systems Resource Centre. She has written extensively on health and has to her credit a large number of reports, publications and papers. She has a Degree in Medicine from St John’s Medical College, Bengaluru, a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology and a Doctorate in Public Health Policy, both from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

Dr. Annapoorna Ravichander - Executive Director
Dr. Annapoorna Ravichander has over 30 years of experience in the field of communication, training and workshops for a wide audience both within and outside India. She is a member of several institutes to include Editor at Large, South Asia at On Think Tanks and an Associate at Kivu International. She holds a Ph.D. in History from the Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda.

Esha Daftari’s interests lie in design and photography. She started her career 12 years back as a Graphic Designer and has been working as a Freelance Photographer since the last 8 years. She has conducted Photography workshops for beginners, students and corporates.
